Yoga: Saturday, June 10th, 12:30pm
Join Bloom Yoga on Saturday, June 10th for a Level 1-2 class led by Jan Yuvan. The proceeds from this class will be donated to The Friendship Center! Level 1-2 classes continue to develop the foundational poses while accommodating a broader range of experience levels. Sequencing moves at a slightly faster pace, although pose modifications are always offered. Explore sun salutation variations, more vigorous backbends, twists, balance poses, and inversions. Prior yoga experience and familiarity with basic poses recommended.
Volunteer: Friday, July 7th, 7pm

We need your help to earn a grant for The Friendship Center! Volunteer at Square Roots this summer on Friday, July 7th from 7-10pm. PLUS, you get access to the 3-day festival, a Square Roots t-shirt, and some tickets for food and beverage. Click above to access the form.
Walk: Saturday, September 16th, AM
Save the date for the 32nd Annual Hunger Walk! Saturday, September 16th we will join thousands of our friends and neighbors in Jackson Park to take a stand against hunger in Chicago. Early registration and transportation info coming soon…

Jam for Bread 2017 results are in!
Last month, on May 13th to be exact, Dank Haus was filled with people who believe no one should go hungry. Thanks to the generosity of many businesses, donors, and attendees more than $19,000 was raised for The Friendship Center’s programs. There was tasty food, craft beer, amazing music, and prizes. Oh, and there was a disco ball.

May 2017 Program Stats
In May 1,695 individuals were served from 552 households. This is an 11.5% increase over the number of people served last month. 467 children were provided meals making up 28% of our food services in May. Additionally, 68 dogs and 75 cats were provided food, litter, and other supplies such as flea and tick prevention.
