Where are you located?
We have two locations and you can find their addresses and hours here.
Can I volunteer?
We do have a need for volunteers however neither of our locations can accommodate large groups. Volunteers are also needed throughout the year to help with special events, larger group volunteer sessions at the Greater Chicago Food Depository, hosting food drives, general maintenance and repairs, pickup and delivery, and many other things. You can find more information about volunteering here.
Join our email list and find us on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram for the most up to date information and needs.
You can find information on upcoming events here.
What kinds of things can I donate?
We accept the following items if they are not expired and in good, clean condition.
– shelf stable food
– baby food and formula
– seasonal clothing and household goods that are gently used and clean
– books and toys
– pet food and pet toys/supplies (Lincoln Square location only)
A good rule of thumb: If you wouldn’t give it to a friend then we shouldn’t give it to ours. Toss or recycle your broken and wore out things. Thanks!
Items we do not accept:
– used baby bottles and teething toys
– anything that is soiled or needs repair
I have something to donate. When can I drop it off?
Great question! You can find drop-off hours for both locations on the Contact Us page.
